Babes and Bling: My Very First Babes and Bling Giveaway!

babesandbling:

And Celia’s second birthday! In order to celebrate our little Celia turing a whopping 2 years old, I’ve decided to do a giveaway! And it’s a doozy! Being the jeweler and gemologist that I am, it better be! I purchased these stones a while back for myself (from a dealer in NYC that works almost…

My baby is one year old!

My baby is one year old!

My mother’s first concert was The Beatles in ‘66.

My first concert was Paul McCartney in 1990.

It made sense Little Bean’s first was Ringo Starr.

Granted, she has both of us beat in age of first concert by several years!

I’m a bad mommy

Challenge of the day?

Trying to get Little Bean out from under the glass coffee table with metal sides without a freak-out or injury. It was close, but we were successful! For the record though, I did actually consider trying to take a photo of her under there. If only I’d Windex-ed earlier in the day and wouldn’t have been too ashamed to share photos of the disgustingly dirty glass.

Eleven Months

Little Bean is 11-months-old today. My little baby is getting so big and I feel like it’s all passed by in a matter of moments. This time next month we’ll be celebrating her first year on this planet with our family and friends. ZOMG!

Getting ready to send out Little Bean’s first birthday party invites. Where, oh, where has the past year gone!? I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed today!

I’ve watched this several times already, I can’t stop! What an amazing video! Seeing his reaction to mommy’s voice, oh my goodness - so beautiful!

Vermont Getaway - Part Three

On top of discovering fun with grass and rocks, Little Bean also experienced how much fun water could be when we were in Vermont this past weekend. Perhaps we should have stopped sooner… Eh. She had fun =)

Vermont Getaway - Part Two

After LB’s nap, we took a trip to the Equinox Hotel’s Pond Pavilion - where we got married a few years ago. It was a beautiful day to go back. I love it there, so quiet, so perfect!

The Better Half and I have several wedding photos in this exact location. I love that we now have one of the three of us here too.

LB got to spend a lot of time crawling around on the grass and rocks, something I don’t normally let her do at home. She had a blast - as did we!

Vermont Getaway - Part One

We had a beautiful time in Vermont last weekend! It is always so nice to get back there, spend time with old friends and even take a trip back to where we got married!

Little Bean proved she was an excellent outlet shopper. She helped both the Better Half and I pick out some gems at Banana Republic. She even had a key role in picking out her first bathing suit at Carter’s.

We spent the afternoon and evening at our friends’ home nearby Manchester. It is always fun catching up with them, something that we don’t get to do nearly enough. The last time we were over there, LB wasn’t even close to crawling yet. Their youngest son (almost 3) was so amazing with LB: offering her toys, talking with her, staying nearby her. What a sweetheart.

He brought her Simon from his room upon our arrival.

In the morning LB got to taste her first Papaya. She was a big fan!

We spent a large portion of Sunday morning outside, checking out the chickens. (They have several chickens that run free during the day. I love watching them strut around.)

LB had her first chicken encounter.

Unfortunately, time passed too quickly and we had to head out, taking advantage of the time right after Piper’s first nap for our travel time.

More to come!

I can’t get over how difficult it is to weed the clothing Little Bean has outgrown out of her closet to put into storage bags. I become so attached to her little duds and each one I pack away means my tiny little baby is growing up that much quicker.
